Fuel efficiency, lower emissions Discover how a range of features delivers the same – if not better – power and performance as the L200 HL’s diesel counterparts.

Fuel efficiency, lower emissions

Do more with less fuel, thanks to the industry-renowned fuel efficiency of Volvo Wheel Loaders. With a gear shifting ratio that has been optimized to adapt to the maximum expected workload, the result is faster acceleration and smoother operation. Fuel efficiency is enhanced further thanks to a host of proven efficiency-boosting technologies such as the powerful and efficient Volvo engine, OptiShift, lock-up transmission, Eco Pedal and external dry P-Brake. What’s more, the renewable synthetic diesel fuel, HVO (Hydro-treated Vegetable Oils), has been approved for use in Volvo Construction Equipment diesel engines with the potential to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 90%.

OptiShift

For improved cycle times and reduced fuel consumption, customize the lock-up engagement of your machine with OptiShift. The pioneering technology integrates with the Reverse By Braking function and torque converter with lock-up, creating a direct drive between the engine and transmission. Also new for the L200 High Lift is the lock-up to lock-up gear change, boosting both performance and efficiency

Reverse by Braking

Reduce cycle times, boost productivity and extend the life of your machine’s components and increase operator comfort with Reverse By Braking (RBB) – patented by Volvo. The braking function slows the machine when the operator wants to change direction, by reducing engine rpm and automatically applying the service brakes, reducing stress on the drivetrain.

Volvo DNA throughout

With an entirely Volvo powertrain, Volvo quality runs throughout the DNA of the machine contributing towards outstanding levels of productivity. For ultimate stability and high efficiency, the transmission works in perfect harmony with the engine and axles. The converter delivers increased torque output, resulting in better performance at low speeds.
